Effective 16 October 2026. These Terms govern customers, restaurant partners, riders, support users, and visitors using ChopQuick. By ticking the acceptance box at registration you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to them, and that you consent to promotional emails as described in section 11.
Plain-language summary: ChopQuick runs the platform, not the kitchens. Your food contract is with the restaurant, deliveries are performed by independent riders, and ChopQuick's responsibility is limited to the service fees it retains. Partners are accountable for their food, pricing, and conduct, and ChopQuick can enforce against partners who cheat or underperform. This summary is for clarity only; the sections below govern.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By accessing ChopQuick, creating an account, placing an order, operating a restaurant account, or accepting a delivery task, you agree to these Terms. You must provide accurate information and have legal capacity to enter a binding agreement. Accounts may not be transferred, impersonated, or used for unlawful activity.
2. Marketplace role
ChopQuick is a technology marketplace and intermediary. We publish restaurant listings, pass customer orders to independent restaurant partners, provide payment facilitation, coordinate independent riders, and offer support. ChopQuick is not the restaurant, kitchen, caterer, food preparer, food handler, or seller of the meals listed on the platform, and we do not prepare, cook, package, store, inspect, taste, or deliver food ourselves. The contract for the food is between you and the restaurant partner, and the delivery task is performed by an independent rider. Each restaurant partner is solely responsible for its menus, ingredients, allergens, food quality, portion sizes, hygiene, preparation, packaging, licensing, taxes, pricing accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Each rider is solely responsible for safe, lawful, and timely delivery conduct.
3. Partner responsibility and ChopQuick exclusions
Because restaurant partners and riders are independent operators, ChopQuick does not control and is not responsible for their acts, omissions, negligence, incompetence, delays, cancellations, substitutions, hygiene failures, foodborne illness, allergic reactions, foreign objects in food, inaccurate descriptions, misleading photos, price errors, unavailability of items, rude conduct, refusal to serve, failure to honour an accepted order, or any other misconduct or poor performance by a partner or rider. ChopQuick does not guarantee that any restaurant will accept an order, that food will match a photo or description, that a partner will remain on the platform, or that a partner's account is free of past complaints. Where a partner fails you, ChopQuick's role is limited to reasonable support, evidence handling, and the enforcement remedies in this agreement and the Restaurant Partner Policy.
4. Accounts and security
You are responsible for safeguarding your login details, keeping your phone number and delivery address current, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorised access. We may require identity, restaurant, rider, payment, or transaction verification and may restrict an account while a safety or fraud review is underway.
5. Menus, prices, and availability
Prices, portions, photos, preparation times, discounts, stock, service areas, and operating hours are supplied or managed by restaurant partners and may change. An order is subject to availability and confirmation. If an item becomes unavailable, the customer may be offered a substitution, partial adjustment, or cancellation through an approved support process.
6. Orders and payment
Review the restaurant, items, quantities, address, fees, and total before paying. Payments must use checkout methods approved by ChopQuick. Payment processing may be provided by Paystack or another disclosed provider. A payment acknowledgement does not override fraud screening, restaurant acceptance, stock availability, or a lawful reversal.
7. Delivery and customer responsibilities
Quoted delivery times are estimates affected by preparation, weather, traffic, distance, access restrictions, and rider availability. Customers must provide a reachable phone number, accurate address, safe delivery point, and timely collection. Extra costs or failed delivery caused by incorrect information or prolonged unavailability may not be refundable.
8. Cancellations, refunds, and complaints
Eligibility depends on order status and verified circumstances. Report missing, incorrect, unsafe, materially damaged, or undelivered items promptly through support and retain relevant evidence, including photos and packaging where possible. Refunds are a remedy of last resort and are not automatic: we may instead offer a replacement, credit, or partial adjustment. Approved refunds are returned through the available payment route and may take time to appear. Preference changes, consumed items, issues reported after the reporting window, unverified claims, and claims we reasonably believe are exaggerated, duplicated, or made in bad faith do not qualify. ChopQuick may require the return of affected items or packaging, may decline claims where evidence is withheld, and may recover amounts already refunded where a claim is later shown to be false.
9. Acceptable use and fraud
You must not submit false, exaggerated, or repeated claims for free food or credit; tamper with delivered food to manufacture a complaint; manipulate promotions, referrals, wallets, or reviews; harass users, riders, or restaurant staff; misuse personal information; interfere with the platform; upload harmful content; evade fees; conduct fraudulent or reversed payments; abuse chargebacks; or use ChopQuick to sell prohibited or unsafe goods. We may remove content, cancel activity, withhold credits or wallet value connected to abuse, suspend or terminate access, preserve evidence, recover losses, and cooperate with lawful authorities. We may also offset verified losses against any wallet balance or refund you would otherwise receive, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Reviews and user content
Content you submit must be truthful, relevant, lawful, and respectful. You retain ownership of your content but grant ChopQuick permission to host, reproduce, display, and moderate it for platform operation and promotion. We may remove content that violates these Terms, privacy rights, intellectual-property rights, or community safety.
11. Marketing communications and consent
When you create an account you accept promotional and product-update emails from ChopQuick, and you consent to us contacting you about offers, new menus, service changes, and platform updates using the contact details you provide. Merchants and partners may also send order-related messages through the platform. Every promotional email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and you may withdraw marketing consent at any time through that link, your account settings, or support. Withdrawing marketing consent does not stop service, transactional, security, or order-related messages, which are necessary to operate your account and fulfil orders. We record the date, policy version, and technical details of your consent as evidence.
12. Service availability, disclaimers, and limitation of liability
ChopQuick is provided on an "as available" basis. We work to keep it reliable but do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free operation, exact delivery times, uninterrupted third-party services, or that a partner will meet your expectations. To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) ChopQuick is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, goodwill, data, opportunity, or expectation; (b) ChopQuick is not liable for the acts, omissions, negligence, incompetence, or misconduct of restaurant partners, riders, or other users, or for food quality, safety, hygiene, allergens, or delivery failures caused by them; (c) where ChopQuick is found liable, our total aggregate liability for a claim is limited to the total platform service fees ChopQuick actually retained on the order giving rise to the claim, or the equivalent of one affected order value, whichever is lower; and (d) claims must be brought within six months of the event giving rise to them, or they are waived to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that Nigerian law does not permit to be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, and nothing here removes your non-waivable statutory rights.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ChopQuick, its owners, directors, officers, employees, and agents against claims, losses, liabilities, damages, fines, and reasonable costs, including legal fees, arising from your breach of these Terms; your misuse of the platform; your false, exaggerated, or bad-faith claims; your violation of law or third-party rights; content you submit; or your fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful conduct. This indemnity survives termination of your account and applies to the extent permitted by Nigerian law.
14. Suspension, termination, and enforcement
We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate any account, cancel or refuse orders, withhold platform features, hold or offset amounts connected to a verified loss or fraud review, require re-verification, and report conduct to lawful authorities where we reasonably suspect abuse, fraud, safety risk, or breach of these Terms. Enforcement decisions consider severity, pattern, and evidence. We may act immediately where safety, fraud, or legal exposure requires it, and we may decline to reinstate accounts where there is a continuing risk.
15. Disputes, governing law, and jurisdiction
Raise any dispute first through ChopQuick support so we can investigate and attempt a good-faith resolution within a reasonable period. Where a dispute is not resolved through support, the parties will attempt mediation in Umuahia, Abia State before commencing proceedings. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Abia State, Nigeria have jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable right you may have to bring a claim in another competent forum. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update features or these Terms to reflect operational, legal, security, or regulatory changes. Material updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date and, where required, notified through the platform or by email. Continuing to use ChopQuick after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Electronic acceptance, including the checkbox you complete at registration, is a valid and binding signature for these Terms.
