Effective 2 August 2026. We use personal data to run safe ordering and delivery services and aim to collect only what the service reasonably needs.
1. Scope and data controller
This Policy explains how ChopQuick, operated by Nexarch Technologies Limited, handles personal data across its website, accounts, ordering, restaurant, rider, payment, delivery, support, and related services. It applies to customers, visitors, restaurant personnel, riders, applicants, and support contacts.
2. Information we collect
We may collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, delivery and business addresses, account credentials, profile details, restaurant and rider verification records, order contents, transaction references, support messages, reviews, uploaded files, device and browser signals, IP address, session records, approximate location, and activity logs. Payment providers process card or bank details under their own policies; ChopQuick ordinarily receives transaction status and reference data rather than full card details.
3. How information is collected
Information comes directly from you, from your use of ChopQuick, from restaurants or riders completing an order, from payment and communications providers, from security and analytics systems, and from authorised administrators. We do not ask users to submit sensitive information unless it is necessary for a specific verification, safety, legal, or support purpose.
4. Why we use personal data
We use data to create and secure accounts; process and deliver orders; connect customers, restaurants, riders, and support; verify payments and partners; provide receipts and service messages; prevent fraud and abuse; resolve disputes; maintain audit and accounting records; improve reliability; personalise relevant content; meet legal duties; and enforce platform policies.
5. Lawful bases
Depending on the activity, processing is based on performing a contract, taking requested pre-contract steps, meeting legal obligations, protecting vital interests, pursuing legitimate interests such as fraud prevention and service improvement, or consent where required. You may withdraw consent for future processing without affecting lawful processing already completed.
6. Sharing and processors
We share only what is reasonably needed with the restaurant preparing an order, the rider delivering it, payment processors such as Paystack, hosting and storage providers, communications providers, professional advisers, fraud-prevention services, and lawful authorities. Providers must handle data for authorised purposes. We do not sell personal data.
7. Cookies, sessions, and analytics
ChopQuick may use essential cookies or similar storage for authentication, security, cart continuity, preferences, and session renewal. Limited diagnostics may measure performance and errors. Where non-essential analytics or marketing technologies require consent, they should not be activated without the appropriate choice mechanism.
8. Retention
We retain data only as long as needed for service delivery, disputes, security, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, audit, and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record. Data may be deleted, anonymised, or securely archived when no longer required; backups may remain for a limited recovery cycle.
9. Security and international processing
We use access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, restricted administration, logging, and provider safeguards appropriate to the risk. No system is completely secure. Some service providers may process data outside Nigeria; where this occurs, we use available contractual and legal safeguards and limit transfers to operational needs.
10. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable Nigerian data-protection law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability where applicable, or information about processing. You may also withdraw consent and complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. We may verify identity and may retain information where law, fraud prevention, disputes, or legitimate recordkeeping requires it.
11. Children and third-party links
ChopQuick is not intended for independent use by children who cannot legally consent or contract. A parent or guardian should supervise any permitted use. Third-party sites and payment pages have separate privacy practices; review their notices before providing information.
12. Incidents and policy updates
We investigate suspected personal-data incidents and provide notices to affected people or regulators where legally required. We may update this Policy for legal, technical, or operational changes. The effective date will be revised and material changes will be communicated through an appropriate platform channel.
